I didn't post anything yesterday and I apologize. I have no excuse, other than I was parked in a lawn chair with the sun shining on me, a book, a big Diet Coke, and bottle of SPF White Girl.
And my hot pink iPod, shuffling through my extensive collection of Prince songs (available on iTunes!).
Some time into "Let's Go Crazy" it hit me how much I have in common with Clark Griswold.
You remember Clark, right? From the "Vacation" movies?
Clark W. Griswold?
Yep. That's him.
We have, like, sooo much in common.
We could be twins.
Separated at birth.
For starters, look at his hair.

Does it remind you of anyone?

I do believe Clark was sporting a Toni Tennille haircut, too.
Let's do a side by side comparison:

Yep. Matching hair.
Then there is the fact that we are both very snappy dressers because I've been know to rock an alligator shirt with the collar flipped up, too.
And there's the fact that Clark drove his family cross country to visit Walley World and, upon arrival, discovered that it was closed.
That happened to me earlier this week.
Well, not the drive cross country, but across town to the local water park. Upon our arrival we discovered it was closed.
I even parked in the back of the parking lot to be the first ones out when the park closed for the night.
However, Clark W. and I differ in our responses to our similar situations.
He coerces a security guard at gun point to let him ride some rides.
I didn't coerce anyone into letting me float on the Lazy River.
But I wanted to.
Oh, I almost forgot this similarity: our brushes with celebrity.
Clark sees Christie Brinkley in a red Ferrari.
I once met Davy Jones of the Monkees at Ball State University.
Yep. Me and Clark W. could be twins.
Pin It Now!
