Because I know that you all simply cannot live another second not knowing how I spent the last two weeks, I've decided to blog about it. Probably several posts. Including pictures. Lots of pictures.
I have been trying to figure out how to break down my vacation into blog posts.
Do I do it chronologically?
By subject matter?
By incident?
Does anyone really care about my trip to the Great North Woods?
Anyone?
Anyone?
Bueller?
Bueller?
I've decided that chronologically is the way to go, mainly because I have 347 photos of sunsets and that's just one too many to put into the same post.
Yep. Just one sunset picture too many.
346 = perfect.
347 = one too many.
First up: our cabin.
You more astute readers may have noticed the white, round orb in the sky above the tall pine tree on the right. That would be the moon and I give you ten (meaningless) points for noticing it and a bonus five (meaningless) points for creativity if you thought it was some type of alien space craft.
This is the beginning of a spectacular sunset.
See those small dark clouds in the sky? They're not clouds at all. They're bald eagles. Another ten (meaningless) points to you if you guessed they were bald eagles.
No. Not really. I'm just messin' with you. They're clouds, not eagles. No points for you!
It'd be super awesome if they were eagles though. And it might restore some of my credibility as a regular, non-dorky person after yesterday's admittance that a piece of glass entertained me for way longer than it should have.
Probably not. I'm dorky to the core and that's tough to hide, but it makes me adorkable.
Get it?
Adorkable?
Hello? Hello?
Did hilarity ensue after that comment?
Alright, fine. FINE. I will move on to the next picture now.
The fam. Hanging out on the dock. Watching the sunset. Not bickering at all over who has to get in the shower first.
Then this happens.
The bickering stops. Everyone shuts the heck up and enjoys the beauty for a few minutes.
Until the mosquitoes came out en mass and start swarming us.
I don't like to be swarmed unless it is by adoring fans who are bearing gift baskets filled with Cheetos, biscuits, and the patience to look at 347 sunset photos with me.
The mosquitoes brought nothing, except the fear of malaria and West Nile virus.
See you tomorrow for more sunset fun!

Pin It Now!
Wow. NICE photos, even if they aren't eagles - bald or otherwise. Can't wait to see more!
