A Humbling Experience Indeed

The sunrise was gorgeous.

It was freezing outside, but I still sprinted out the back door in my jammies and clearance rack fur lined Crocs to see it. Don't hate on my Crocs. They were purchased for two reasons: they were on the clearance rack for $4.85 and they keep my feet warm and dry when dashing outside for photo ops.

I like the pink/orange/red beam of light in this picture. It reminds me of an incoming alien invasion scene from the movies. You just know the sky will open up to reveal a massive UFO, sucking people up in it's pink/orange/red beam of light, with eerie orchestra music playing in the background.

Standing outside looking up at the sky is a pretty humbling experience. You realize just how small humans are and how vast the universe is.

Especially when compared to an incoming alien invasion.

The only downside to watching the sunrise is that you walk outside in darkness and it ends with daylight.

So what's the drawback to that?

I'll tell you. When the sun is up, your neighbor can drive by, roll down her window, and yell 'Woo hoo! Nice jammies! Wait. Are those … crocs?' at you because you are no longer cloaked in darkness.

And you are sporting your bright red fleece jammies with monkey faces printed on them.

A humbling experience indeed. Pin It Now!
