Okay. I'm Weird, Too

Yesterday I blogged about how I think people are weird. I made have even made some references to the weird and/or twisted key search words that others type into google and how that leads them (much to their disappointment) to my blog. Which does, in fact, contain those same weird and/or twisted key search words. But then I had a revelation. This morning I realized that I, too, am just as weird and/or twisted.

Oh like that's news.

Here's a list of my weirdness and/or twistedness that I've blogged about. So far.

1. Tasty Tabitha

2. My fear of a tree standing by itself (shudder)

3. Gingerbread army - parts un and deux

4. My epic battle with the water softener

5. My dashed dreams of winning a gold medal for roller skating in the '84 Olympics

6. How long I crammed my fingers in my cheeks in hopes of creating dimples

7. Orgasmic produce

8. My great love of parades, sporks, awards shows, and the letter o

Now that I see the list written down, it's not so bad.

Right?

Tap, tap, tap. Is this thing on?

It's not like I confessed my childhood fear of rotary phones or anything.

Or my adulthood fear of the GPS app on my phone.

Or my incomplete list of words I adore, words I can't stand, and words I wish that I'd made up (it's lengthy my friends. Lengthy).

I could have shared what a bird did to my 1990 prom dress.

Or how a squirrel almost fell into my moving car.

I haven't even posted photos of myself from the 80s (just the 70s).

So I've kept some weird things private (for now). I do have some sort of filter about that kind of stuff. And I'm 98% sure that I have weirdness and/or twistedness that I'm not even aware of yet.

I should probably disclose the fact that I was confronted face to face with my weirdness this morning when I walked into the kitchen and saw these. My centerpieces.

I have grass heads for a centerpiece on my beautiful handmade kitchen table. Never thought I'd be growing grass in my kitchen, but here I am. Just call me Cheech. Or Chong. Or Willie.

Okay. I'm weird, too. Pin It Now!

  1. LOVE the centerpieces! And I think you should share your list of words you love. Like "ruckus." LOVE that word.
