A New Neighbor

We have a new neighbor!

So far, he's pretty quiet. A little homely, but quiet.

But he has a very loud, very overprotective mother.

And she already doesn't much care for me.

Just look at her glaring at me from atop my own swing set.

Yep. She's giving me the ol' stink eye.

Apparently I got too close to her baby because she stopped giving me the stink eye and commenced yelling at me. In my own backyard.

I think I ruffled her feathers … snicker snicker.

Get it? Ruffled her feathers? 'Cause she's a bird?

Tap tap tap. Is this thing on?

Momma scares me a bit. That's why I'm in the house now and not outside oohing and ahhing over her baby anymore.

Well, that and the fact that it's a balmy 49 degrees outside right now.

Which is probably a more accurate reason.
