Pictures Of The Day

Today was a gorgeous, bright, and sunny day. It was the kind of day that made me shed my monkey face jammies, put on pants, and actually leave the house. With my camera in tow, of course.

After stopping by the ATM for cash (just in case the urge to buy something hit me) and the tire store (my Honda needs new four new ones), I ended up downtown.

Upon first glance, there is little more to my city's downtown area than churches. And taverns. We've got lots of churches and taverns. Yep. Lots of places to either pray or to really tie one on.

I don't really know what that says about my people.

Ahem.

Moving along … on one street corner there is a store. This store has been on the same street corner since 1912. Which I'm pretty sure makes it 100 years old.

Thought I'd throw in some math for you higher intellect blog seeking readers.

And for the rest of you, I give you this: a candy store. A hundred year old candy store.

Instagram version of the photo, of course. I'm deeply in love with the Instagram app. It speaks to me.

Originally, I thought that I would be posting several nifty photos from my excursion today. But I'm only going to post one more, a church. And yep. It's been Instagrammed, too.

What happened to all the other nifty pictures? Well … there aren't any. While at the candy store, the urge to buy something hit me. Good thing I stopped by the ATM earlier. I bought chocolate covered coffee beans for my husband, jawbreakers for my girls, and a large vanilla coke for myself. Okay. It was a large vanilla Diet Coke because I'm all healthy and junk. Like, totally.

Not to completely gross you out or anything, but after wondering around downtown for about twenty minutes, the Diet Coke kicked in and I discovered just how difficult it is to take decent photos while doing the pee pee dance.

Bladder - 1
Me - 0

And I should mention that, although very bright and sunny, it was cold out there. Kinda like it's still winter or something. The temperature hovered around thirty-eight degrees.

And guess who has two thumbs and no gloves?

Me.

Curses.

I had to call it quits on my photo excursion. All you get today is two Instagram pictures, the image of me doing the pee pee dance on a street corner, and my insane jealousy over the fact you have warmer hands than I do right now.

Happy Monday! Pin It Now!
