Under My Zebra Snuggie

I missed a pretty spectacular ring around the moon a few nights ago. Friends alerted me via text that I should grab my camera and go outside to snap a few photos.

I thought about it. I spent quite a few minutes deciding with I wanted to leave my warm spot and go out into the bitter January cold. By the time I unwound myself from the couch, found my camera, and put on my heavy coat the moon had lost its halo.

I missed it.

Because I was happily ensconced in my new zebra print Snuggie.

That's right. I said Snuggie. A zebra print Snuggie.

And she's lovely.

Scoff if you must. My family did. But every single one of them has tried (and adored) the zebra Snuggie. Tis true.

The Snuggie people are geniuses because it's a blanket with sleeves, people. A blanket with sleeves. Great invention for those of us who like to wrap up in a blanket, watch TV, and eat a bowl of Breyer's ice cream every night. I love how the sleeves allow for free arm movements, but I fear it's only a matter of time until I accidentally dunk a sleeve into my bowl of ice cream. Fingers crossed that Hershey's chocolate syrup (with added calcium because, you know, I'm a total health nut) washes out of a zebra striped Snuggie.

Today's forecast in my area is cold. Very cold. It's January after all. This means I can be found on my couch, cozily nestled under my zebra Snuggie.
