I'm Like, So Famous

Last week, my area of the world had a pretty terrific thunderstorm roll through and I snapped a few (forty-one) photos of it.

I shared this one with you guys 'cause it's my favorite.

On a whim, I sent the photo into the local TV station as a "Weather Pic of the Day" to be featured on the news later that night. We watched the 11:00 news broadcast (unusual since I'm normally watching something else that is equally as informative, like Teen Mom or Toddlers and Tiaras). My photo wasn't picked to be on the news that night.

Boo.

Yesterday I received an email from my Dad telling me that my photo was on the local news Tuesday morning. I had no idea that I'd become kinda famous! We're talking a brief mention on the local news for crying out loud! I checked on the news' website *shameless plug alert* http://www.wlfi.com/subindex/weather/weather_pics and found that my photo was Tuesday's choice for Weather Photo of the Week!

In spite of that shameless plug, I'm not going to beg for you to vote for my photo, mainly because I think the lightening strike photo is pretty danged amazing. Have you ever tried to snap a picture of lightening? It's not easy, but someone managed to get a great pic from what looks like a cell phone while zipping down the road at 45 mph. That's skill, kids. Mad photog skills. It's a very cool shot.

Whether my photo wins or not, I'm just going to revel for a few hours in being like, so famous that I was briefly mentioned on the local news. Hope I can still go to Target later today without being harassed by paparazzi and autograph hounds. Pin It Now!
