A List of Updates

I've had a lot going on in my life lately and I feel that you, my people, my eight (eight!) followers, need to be updated.

1. My water softener or water heater has a leak and the repairman is here this morning to replace it. He said he doesn't need my assistance, but I think he does. Once I determine if it's the softener or the heater, my help will be golden.

2. My jiggle. It's still there.

3. The sunflowers. They are starting to die and become bug infested. It's pretty gross. I really hope this phenomenon does not happen to me any time soon.

4. The severe lack of rainfall in my area came to a grinding halt last night around 8:15.

5. It's the water softener that is being replaced, not the water heater. Good to know. The repair dude still does not need any assistance from me nor does he want to guess my favorite John Hughes movie.

Buzzkill.

6. The tomatoes. Found another stoplight of tomatoes in the garden.

6. The pumpkins. They're doing well, still keeping the Great Pumpkin faith.

7. The water softener repair dude is not terribly impressed that once, back in February, I filled the tank with salt. All. By. My. Self. He is even less interested in the fact that I dropped my phone in the tank, safely retrieved the phone, and lived to tell about it. And he has no interest in guessing my favorite episode of Cheers. Some people have little interest in the Arts.

8. The Carmen Electra circa 1995 prom/20th reunion dress. It haunts me still. I so wish that I'd sprung the $21.99 for it. I think a run into Macy's tonight to see if it's still there is necessary.

9. The horses that live in my backyard. Yep. They still hate me. But on a positive note, they haven't broken through the fence to get me. Again.

10. I still don't have a pool. And this is still a tragedy. Pin It Now!

  1. So...what is your favorite John Hughes movie? I mean seriously, just because you got a dud of a repair man doesn't mean your audience doesn't want to know. My guess is either Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink or Christmas Vacation. Oh and if it's Home Alone 2 then you need to make up a lie. I can't follow someone who'd pick Home Alone 2 over Breakfast Club. That would be wholely un-American. :)

  2. I have to agree w/ Emily (shocking, I KNOW!!) and if this was fb I would simply have "liked" her comment above, but enquiring minds want (and demand) to know. I think it's Sixteen Candles...

  3. Ladies, you will be shocked. It's (hopefully) a near-future post.
